Memorial Day Skincare

As we head into the unofficial start of summer, it is important to remember that skin can easily be damaged from the sun. And no matter how much exposure you may have, you need to practice sun safety tips.

Apply SPF Religiously

Right when you wake up apply SPF 30+. Then when you are outside, reapply every 1 to 2 hours. Pay close attention to the eye area. Skin is very thin in this area causing collagen and elastin to breakdown and SPF.

Practice Sun Safety

Getting Vitamin D is healthy, but the sun is incredibly harmful causing skin cancer and sun damage. Skin cancer is serious and sun damage leads to the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and hyper-pigmentation. I won’t tell you to refrain from the sun, but be smart while you are in the sun. A hat, sunglasses and sun umbrella are non-negotiable.

Make your Skincare Routine a Priority

A Vitamin C Serum, like our Ultimate Antioxidant C Boost Serum, should be applied immediately after you cleanse the skin. L-Ascorbic Acid is the active form of Vitamin C and protects against free radicals and the sun. It is an added boost to your SPF protection.

Overall, be safe, practice social distancing, and try to enjoy the outside as much as you can.
