Chin Enhancement
Chin Augmentation or mentoplasty, refers to building up a “weak” chin to balance facial structures. This is more important aesthetically than one assumes on first consideration. Chin and cheekbones are often the basics of a beautiful, or handsome face. A strong chin can balance a large nose, and often is suggested when doing nasal reduction surgery.
Dr. Imber is an internationally renowned plastic surgeon and has performed over 25,000 surgical procedures. He performs a full range of cosmetic surgery procedures in his New York City practice, popularized the S-LIFT, and developed the Limited Incision Facelift Technique. He has dedicated his career to helping his patients look as good as they feel, and always strives for the most natural results.
CHIN AUGMENTATION
A chin augmentation is performed to fill defects and increase proportions to balance overall facial structure. Dr. Imber prefers to augment the chin using fat transfer. It’s fast, painless and trouble free. A strong jaw can help create a more balanced profile for the individual and is almost always considered when performing nasal surgery.

Recovering From Your CHIN AUGMENTATION

Words From Dr Imber!
“I have been enhancing the chin by means of fat transfer whenever possible. The results are very natural, pain free, and because the chin is largely muscular, the percentage of permanent graft result is high. The procedure is subtle and easily tolerated, with little, or no, downtime. Therefore, it is also great for simply strengthening a slightly weak chin.”
